As the evening sets on the town,
and the street lights create the shadows;
the roads that people take, seem to be
a long walk back to home.
Burdens of living daily , laden on their backs
these stragglers return, with the hopes
to see their loved ones , smiling.
Weary steps with tired legs tread along
the ashphalt ,through the concrete jungle.
Together they form the crowd, faceless,
bound to each other by the common purpose
but each alone in their private world, distant,
like the stars which twinkle in the sky
to guide them to their respective addresses.
