Chasing dreams have never been easy,
for me at least.
The search for El Dorado
has taken me far away.
All carefully made plans for return
have come to a nought.
Here I am now, covered with the golden dust.
But strangely I can't wash it off.
There's no river nearby,
where the cold water
soothes the cracks of my skin
cleaning me of this golden hue.
So the burden of this gold
remains with me,
reminding me how far my home is.
